Saeed Mohammed Al-Shamsi

Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al-Shamsi is a founding partner of Agha & Shamsi and has combined a legal and diplomatic career spanning 35 years. He has in-depth experience in international relations, world emerging markets, and globalization and is seasoned in legal, business, finance, culture and politics.
Over his distinguished career, Dr. Al-Shamsi has developed a network of outstanding professional and personal contacts both in the public and private sectors, nationally and internationally and has been the lead advisor in a number of high profile international conflict and dispute resolution matters involving major corporations, financial institutions and governmental authorities. In his diplomatic career, Dr. Al-Shamsi has served as a representative of the UAE on the United Nations Third Committee (social, cultural and humanitarian affairs) and has been the chargé d'affaires of the UAE embassy in Washington D.C. (USA). Subsequent diplomatic postings have included acting as the UAE Ambassador to Germany, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Sweden, India, Nepal and Australia & New Zealand. Most recently, Dr. Al-Shamsi has served as the UAE ambassador to Australia and New Zealand.
Dr. Al-Shamsi is also a UAE-licensed legal consultant and has had a legal consultancy specializing in commercial, corporate, arbitration, conflict and dispute resolution matters since 1992. Dr. Al-Shamsi also served as the Director of the Economic and Political Department in the Presidential Court in Abu Dhabi.
Dr. Al-Shamsi has served as a visiting lecturer at a national UAE University and is a frequent speaker and panelist in international business and academic fora.
