Dispute Resolution

The Dispute Resolution Practice is led by Siraj Ahmed, and encompasses dispute avoidance, dispute management and dispute resolution. Mr. Ahmed is a US-licensed attorney previously with an Am Law 100 Chicago-based firm ranked by the The American Lawyer as one of the top 5 litigation firms in the United States. He has accumulated experience with arbitrations conducted by various panels in the UAE and abroad, including the International Trade Commission, International Chamber of Commerce, and the American Arbitration Association. In particular, Mr. Ahmed has handled numerous construction disputes, and acquired a construction supervisor’s license to better understand his clients’ industry.

A founding partner of Agha & Shamsi, Dr. Saeed Mohammed Al-Shamsi, is also involved in the Dispute Resolution Practice, with almost two decades of experience in handling disputes in the UAE. Dr. Al-Shamsi is a UAE-licensed legal consultant, and has had a legal consultancy specializing in commercial, corporate, arbitration, conflict and dispute resolution matters since 1992. Dr. Al-Shamsi also served as the Director of the Economic and Political Department in the Presidential Court in Abu Dhabi.
